At the end of the film, Shuri finally returns to Haiti at the residence of Lupita Nyong'O (Nakia) and meets her nephew, King T'Challa.
Shuri himself is surprised to learn that he has a nephew, the son of his sister's ex-lover Nakia.
It is certain that King T'Challa will later become King in the kingdom of Wakanda.
